A stacked video gallery takes up a lot of page, especially on a phone.
The Media Listing block can slide the same videos through a single row instead, with arrows and dots.

Before You Start
- Edition: Pro — the Media Listing block is part of Nexter Blocks Pro.
- Block to enable: Media Listing, switched on under Nexter > Blocks in your WordPress dashboard.
- Your videos ready: uploaded to the Media Library, or their YouTube or Vimeo links to hand.
Steps
- Add the Media Listing block to your page and click Design from Scratch.
- In the Layout panel, set Type to Videos.
- Open the Content panel and add an item per video, setting each one’s Source.
- Still in Layout, set Layout to Carousel.
- In Columns Manage, set Columns to how many videos show at once on each device.
- Open the Carousel options for arrows, dots, autoplay and loop, then publish.
How It Behaves
- The carousel shows as many videos at once as your column count allows and slides the rest in.
- Each tile keeps its own source, so a single carousel can mix YouTube, Vimeo and self hosted videos.
- Playing a video does not stop the carousel, so switch autoplay off if visitors will be watching.
- Visitors can swipe on touch devices as well as using the arrows.
Limitations
- Pro only.
- The category filter does not appear on the carousel layout. Use a grid video gallery if visitors need to filter.
- Only the visible slides are on screen, which makes a carousel a poor fit for a long library.
- Autoplay sliding while a video is playing is disorienting, so the two are best not combined.
Troubleshooting
The videos are stacked instead of sliding
Check that Layout is Carousel, then view the published page. The sliding only starts once the carousel script loads, not in the editor preview.
The carousel slides while someone is watching
Switch autoplay off in the Carousel options.
