# How to Create a Video Carousel in WordPress?

## Key Takeaways

- Nexter Blocks Media Listing block creates an interactive WordPress video carousel without additional plugins.
- Media Listing block uses Videos in the Type section and Carousel in the Layout section under the Layout tab to show videos in a carousel slider.
- Popup Layout set to Default opens videos in a lightbox when clicked, and no custom link is added in the Link field.

Looking to add a video carousel to your WordPress website? A video carousel lets you showcase multiple videos in an interactive format, which is useful for grabbing visitor attention and keeping them on the page.

With the Media Listing block from Nexter Blocks, you can create an interactive WordPress video carousel without additional plugins.

*To check the complete feature overview documentation of the Nexter Blocks Media Listing block, [click here](/docs/media-listing-block-settings-overview/).*

**Best Used For:**

- Portfolio and agency sites displaying project or case study videos in a swipeable carousel format

- Online course or tutorial sites presenting multiple video lessons in a single scrollable section

- Product or service pages using a video carousel to show demos, testimonials, or feature walkthroughs

Requirement – This block is a part of Nexter Blocks. Make sure it is installed and activated.

To do this, add the Media Listing block on the page.

1. Select **Videos** from the **Type** section.

2. Then select the appropriate listing style and select **Carousel** from the **Layout** section under the **Layout** tab. If you also want to display images in a carousel, the same block supports that layout — see [How to Create a WordPress Image Carousel](https://nexterwp.com/docs/create-wordpress-image-carousel/) for the image-specific setup.

You can select the appropriate image popup type from the **Popup Layout** dropdown. Use the **Default** option when you want videos to open in a lightbox when clicked.

3. In the **Content** tab, select the appropriate content source and add videos to the gallery.

> *Note: Make sure to select ****Default**** from the ****Popup Layout**** dropdown and do not add any custom link in the ****Link**** field to show the video in a lightbox.*

Now, your video gallery will show in a carousel slider. You can manage the carousel from the **Style** > **Carousel Options** tab.

For other interactive block layouts, see [How to Add an Accordion in WordPress](https://nexterwp.com/docs/add-accordion-in-wordpress/) to display content in a collapsible format on the same page.
