If you are running a WordPress blog, you may want to customise the display of your recent blog posts. While showing the latest posts can be helpful for users, sometimes you may not want to show them all. In such cases, hiding certain posts from the list can be beneficial for your website’s overall look and feel.

With the Post Listing block from The Plus Blocks for Gutenberg, you can easily hide posts from the beginning of the listing by setting an offset number.

Requirement  – This block is a part of The Plus Blocks for Gutenberg, make sure its installed & activated to enjoy all its powers.

To do this, add the Post Listing block on the page, and select the appropriate listing type, post type, style and layout.

Then go to the Offset Posts section under the Query tab.

In the Offset Posts field, enter the desired number of posts you want to hide from the beginning of the listing.

For example, if you set 1 in the Offset Posts field, it will hide one blog post from the beginning of the listing.

Next, select Date from the Order By dropdown and Descending from the Order dropdown. This will ensure that the latest blog post(s) are hidden from the list based on the number set in the Offset Posts field.
