With our Carousel Anything block not only you can show or hide arrows and dot navigations individually but you can make a lot of customizations as well.

So let’s see dots first, add the block on the page and after you’ve created your slides go to the **Dots & Arrows **> **Dots** to hide the dots turn off the toggle.

But if you turn it on you’ll see some customization options for different devices.

You can choose different styles for your dots navigation, colors, adjust top padding and make the dots appear on hover etc.

Now for arrows turn off the **Arrows** toggle to hide them but if turned on you’ll see some customization options for different devices.

## Frequently Asked Questions

**Q: What should I do if the arrows or dots don't hide in the WordPress carousel?**
A: If the arrows or dots are not hiding as expected, ensure that you have toggled the respective settings in the Dots & Arrows section of the Carousel Anything block. If the toggle is off and they still appear, check for any conflicting settings in other blocks that may override these options.

**Q: What happens if I hide the dots in my WordPress carousel?**
A: Hiding the dots in your WordPress carousel means users will lose the visual indicators of slide position, which can affect navigation. If you are controlling the slider with other blocks, like the Carousel Remote block, this may not be an issue. However, consider user experience when making this choice.

**Q: Are there any best practices for using arrows and dots in a WordPress carousel?**
A: A best practice is to use arrows and dots in a way that enhances navigation without cluttering the interface. If your carousel has a limited number of slides, consider hiding the dots to keep the design clean. Conversely, if users need to see their position in a larger carousel, keeping the dots visible can improve usability.
